One of Britain’s fastest growing independent hospitality companies, Oakman Inns & Restaurants, has appointed us to handle the launch of their new Hotel, Bar and Restaurant in nearby Witney.
Oakman acquired The Marlborough Hotel, a well known landmark site in Witney’s historic High Street in mid 2010, and it will revert to its original 17th century name, the Blue Boar, when it reopens at the end of November following an extensive renovation and restoration programme.
The 21 bedroom boutique hotel will be ideally situated for the large volume of tourist traffic to the Cotswolds, Blenheim, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas while the Bar and Restaurant will provide a mix of imaginative contemporary and traditional food in a comfortable setting at affordable prices.
Oakman's Chief Executive, Peter Borg Neal, said: “We are delighted to have hired 20-20 to handle our PR. Not only are they Oxfordshire-based and understand the local area, but their MD Nick Boyd has a broad experience of the hospitality industry having headed up restaurants including Hard Rock Cafe and The Ram Group.”
Nick Boyd said: “It is going to be a real pleasure to work with an entrepreneur like Peter. He has the flair, imagination and customer concern that is the hallmark of a real restaurateur. His plans for The Blue Boar Witney are very exciting and we’re much looking forward to working with him and his team.”
